ballin on a budget/almost over

well i finally finished all my christmas shopping and i just wrapped all the gifts.


the holidays meant that much to me in about 6 years. they're just not the same as they used to be before my farther past. i mean they are kinda fun, sometimes but what eves.

i hope every one has a good time this year and eats like a pig and gets to spend time with there loved ones. i know i will!!!

franky (yes spelled with an "y" not an "ei") is my pit bull puppy he is about 13 months old and is the biggest wimp in the world. after i wraped presents him and i had a photo shoot

here is shirt i just got approved. its for a fight gear clothing company out of Jacksonville FL called Caged Gear. i've done other designs for them, you can see them on my site.

i was kind of excited to do this design. i have been toying around with doing a crest type design for a quite some time now so when jason from caged gear told me what he was looking for i was pretty excited.
what i love best about the fight based clothing companies is that basically, is the same style of design that was really popular in hardcore about 8 or so years ago. if you don't believe me look at almost any shirt graphic the the hope conspiracy had.
(some what close to another post i plan on making, "Hardcore ruined my life, Graphic Design saved it")

other than that i've been working on a design for a local store here in tampa and designing a tattoo for some one. once those get final approval i'll post them too.

Walt Disney was a chain smoker. In 1966, he was scheduled to undergo a neck surgery for an old polo injury, but a pre-surgery X-ray showed a large tumor in his left lung. Doctors ultimately removed the lung, but Disney died later that year.

In 1951, Disney produced a short clip titled "No Smoking" of Goofy trying to quit smoking. The company banned the cartoon from TV broadcast.

who remembers when poison the well was a local band and they were good... no one, ok moving on.

on a some what related note, i have the 3rd and final "tattoo" drawing. its a broken heart flying away that says "never again". lets take a look.


so the plan is to now take the born 2 kill marry shark, team hate panther, and never again heart, scan them and work some illustrator magic. they are going to be simple 1 color(white) on black background. i know what you are thinking "oh that sounds mad boring" well never fear, it wont be.

after its all said an done they will be printed out i'm thinking5x7 or so, framed and hung on my wall. or if you want to buy a set, we'll do that too.


with all this being said i dont have a scanner so it might take a couple minutes

i sent and received over 2,300 text last month... not a personal best, but still impressive

thanksgiving has came and gone. it was... a family holiday. food was good, turkey was a little dry for my taste, but free food is free food. i wanted to celebrate friendsgiving, its a better holiday that takes place the day after and you cook food with all your friends, we invited it in Richmond, but i didn't.

any way the only reason i am bloging this is because i just got this picture message from my sister.

its my niece and i on thanks giving, pretty much the highlight of my day.

back in the day when i was young, i'm not a kid any more

...but some days i sit and wish i was

so to go along with the virgin marry great white shark(born 2 kill) i posted a few days ago. is my TEAM HATE panther. what is team hate. i have no idea, but here he is.


when i draw stuff its eather cartoony or tattoo inspired.... and here is a story to along with that tidbit of information.

when i was a kid a loved to draw. i don't know why i just really loved it, and i wasnt to bad at it eather. something else you may not know about me but i am stubborn, like stubborn as a billy goat stubborn.

that being said, since i loved drawing so much everyone said i was going to be an artist when i grew up and i relished it, i wanted to be an artist. until i started high school and i started rebelling. all of a sudden i just stopped drawing all together. i would doodle here and there and draw silly cartoons but for the most part i focused on other artistic endeavors such as ceramics, glass work, writing and i got heavily into doing animation for my TV production (which lead to graphic design.

after high school i went to community college and kinda hated it. so i started skipping class. now during this time period i became close friends with a guy who owned a tattoo shop, got a couple and starting drawing American traditional tattoos.
since then its been hanging out at one tattoo shop to another. i remember one time my old roommate once told me all i hung out with was tattoo artist and hardcore kids... thats another story for another time.

so any way thats just a little insight to just one of my artistic inspirations.
